Review of Shibari Halo Wand by Miss Ruby Rating 4Shibari Halo is a wand I’ve never heard of. I love trying new brands because they have no expectations – no long history of success or failure for me to measure them against. In the past, you really wanted to stick with the big brands… but these days newer, smaller sex toy brands can make really great products – I’ve been really impressed for a couple of times over the years by brands I’ve never heard of. Enter the Shibari Halo! Here’s an $89 full-size wand that’s body-safe, waterproof, and rechargeable for wireless play…. So, naturally, I had to try it. If you’re new to sex toys, $89 USD might sound like a TONS of money but for a toy with these features you could easily spend more elsewhere.Review of Shibari Halo Wand by Miss Ruby Review 14In terms of design, Shibari Halo sticks to traditional concepts. The handle body is straight and taper, you control it with two buttons on the handle, the neck is slightly flexible. Straight and cylindrical head with gently rounded top, available in 3 traditional colors: pink, purple and black. It would be nice if it had a non-traditional color. But if you love these options, you’re in luck. This pink is so vibrant, so Barbie, it’s also a full size wand. While a bit shorter than the Doxy Die Cast or the We-Vibe Wand, it’s definitely bigger than small wands like the Doxy 3R. I measured the Shibari Halo to be 12 inches long and 2 inches wide (at the top). For such a large wand, it is impressively light.

Accessibility

This section is intended to help people determine if they may experience any problems using/accessing this toy.

  • Dimensions / Weight: The Shibari Halo is a full sized wand. It is 12 inches (total) by 2 inches (at the top). Despite its large size, it is a fairly light toy (measured at 346 grams).
  • Knot: Two control buttons are located in the half of the body, this button is on the other and is covered with silicone. They are easy to press down and make a loud “click”. The buttons are small (7mm wide), shallow and close together (1cm distance between them).
  • Handle buzz: Minimum amount of vibration transmitted to the bottom of the handle. There are certainly some, but it’s a small number and certainly less than I’ve seen in some other toys.
  • Other notes: This is a cordless toy so you don’t get stuck to the wall. The handle is made of smooth ABS plastic, which can be anti-slip. Its neck is semi-flexible, which may or may not make things harder for you.
  • Price: At $89 USD, this is a cheaper price than many other full sized wands with comparable features.

How to use Shibari Halo

Review of Shibari Halo Wand by Miss Ruby Rate 5

  • To turn on Shibari Halo, press the power button.
  • Apply it on your skin. Although we have used it for the clitoris, this can of course be used against the shaft of the penis. This is not designed for internal use.
  • To cycle through speeds and styles, press the teardrop button. There are 2 steady speeds and 8 styles.
  • Press the power button again to turn off your wand.
  • Packaging

Review of Shibari Halo Wand by Miss Ruby Rate 1Shibari Halo comes packaged in a white box with a wand image on the front. The quality of the cardboard isn’t particularly sturdy or luxurious – very similar to that of a hair dryer case. Inside the box, you get the Halo, a USB charging cord, a USB wall adapter, an instruction manual, and 1-year warranty information. It’s nice that a wall adapter is included – sex toys rarely come and I can always use an extra adapter.Review of Shibari Halo Wand by Miss Ruby Review 2

    Material and Care

The color part of the Shibari Halo wand is silicone. This special silicone is translucent and silky to the touch, and doesn’t attract too much lint/dust. The white handle is ABS plastic. These materials make the Shibari Halo wand body safe. Shibari Halo is waterproof. Arrive cleaning, just wash it in warm, soapy water. If you’re concerned about the type of soap you have, you can add an anti-bacterial toy cleaner to your stroller for a dedicated toy cleaner. Since this toy is made of silicone, you are sure to get good quality Water Source lubricant like Sliquid Swirl. If your Shibari Halo is really weak or stops working, it may need to be recharged. Insert the needle end of the charging cord into the small “DC” hole on the back of the wand. Plug the device into the wall using the included USB wall adapter. The light will blink until fully charged (takes about 3 hours).

    My Experience with Shibari Halo

Review of Shibari Halo Wand by Miss Ruby Rating 9I’m not sure what to expect from the Shibari Halo. I’m so used to major brands like We-Vibe, Womanizer, Blush, and Magic Wand that I tend to be skeptical when looking at lesser-known brands. The vibrations are deep and powerful, especially considering that this is a cordless under $100 wand. Personally, achieving orgasm with this toy is an easy thing for me. The two steady speeds on offer are both formidable. I’m a power queen, so this was perfect. But if you are someone with a sensitive clitoris or you crave softer speeds, this will be too strong for you.Review of Shibari Halo Wand by Miss Ruby Review 13Noisy, Shibari Halo is not noisy. It let out a pleasant growl. I can’t hear it through the walls of my apartment. I also tried comparing the $89 Shibari Halo to more expensive wands. It’s smaller than the Shibari Halo, but it’s also cordless and I’d love to review that toy. In terms of power, the Shibari Halo is extremely similar. I can only determine which is which on a blind test because the PalmPower has a smaller tip. It is very strong. The Shibari Halo also has the benefit of being waterproof (it’s not in the PalmPower Extreme). Then I compared it to one of my favorites, the We-Vibe Wand. The Shibari Halo is definitely weaker, noisier and noisier than the We-Vibe Wand. That being said, the Shibari Halo is also almost half the price of the We-Vibe Wand, so that can totally be forgiven.Review of Shibari Halo Wand by Miss Ruby Rate 8So is there anything I don’t like about Shibari Halo? I’m not a fan of the semi-flexible neck. Most wands these days are made with soft necks, but they always annoy me because it makes applying super-hard pressure more complicated. Even so, it doesn’t bend backwards flexibly…. Shibari went out of his way to make both sides of the coin happy here and I appreciate that. And finally, again, I wish Halo had come with better color options. I know that customers are always flocking to purple (it tends to be a best seller), but personally I would love this a bit more if it was offered in something unique, like magenta. or light blue! But honestly, those are minor cons against a long list of experts.

Shibari Halo Review – Overall Thoughts

Shibari Halo has a lot going for it. It’s waterproof, wireless/rechargeable, very quiet, and impressively powerful. It comes with a 12 month warranty. And at $89 USD, it’s also much cheaper than other waterproof bodysafe full-size wands out on the market. You can pick up your own Shibari Halo wand at Mindful! Why do I like Mindful?
