The best way to safely mix hot soup
- I like to use an immersion blender because it’s less messy and I believe it’s easier to find the right consistency. I like my soup to be a bit chewy, so the immersion blender allows me to mix all the ingredients together making it completely effortless.
- When you don’t have an immersion blender, however you can mix this soup in a blender. I recommend making two batches and letting the soup cool earlier than transferring – simply so you don’t burn yourself! Remember to let the steam come out of the blender so the soup doesn’t explode!
- DO NOT attempt to mix new soup in a bullet-style blender such as the Nutribullet or the Magic Bullet. Steam will escape or you will threaten an explosion!
