To delete or not delete

I argued about getting the whole thing off the wall and spray painting it with my trusty HomeRight paint sprayer. But the screws holding the cabinet between the studs were as rusty as the rest of it, and would create too much trouble. I applied painter’s tape to the tiles around the medicine cabinet and mirror frame.

Clean metal medicine cabinets

First, I scrubbed the entire metal medicine cabinet with fine steel wool to remove any residue. Then I applied Krud Kutter to the worst spots. This substance dissolves rust and makes the painted surface smoother.

Apply metal primer

Entire cabinet is coated with two coats of Rust-oleum Clean Metal Primer, which is perfect for covering old rust and ugly pinkish color, as well as preventing future corrosion.That’s what stinks, so open a window or run a fan in the bathroom while you’re working and as it dries to let out the smoke. Be aware that this oil-based primer takes quite a while to dry. I leave about 12 hours between primer coats and 24 hours before applying the final coat. You don’t realize how often you use the medicine cabinet until it runs out of commissions in a few days!

Apply enamel paint

For the final coat, I painted the protective enamel of Rust-oleum glossy white. This will be the first layer of protection against moisture and the glossy surface will make cleaning easier.No shame rust here!I took this opportunity to get rid of some unused makeup and lots of floss.
