How to make Fairy Wings dolls
What you need:
- see-through fabric – we used old (dollar store quality) window curtains, but tulle will also work like any other fabric with a see-through feel.
- mod podge (or white school glue diluted with water)
- scissors
- permanent marker
- small hairpin (jaw clip or clip – whichever you call it)
- glitter (optional)
- clear plastic or tinfoil – which mod podge won’t stick either
- super glue

Depending on the fabric, you’ll need to do this on both sides or multiple layers for the fabric to stiffen. Once you are happy with the result it’s time to draw a wing – only one person will do all you have to do is fold the canvas in half to get the “wings” as shown on the image below. You will need two sets.
Now we’ll use a permanent marker to draw some wing details – again, depending on your fabric, you’ll only have to do this on one wing (if the fabric is really transparent). ) or on both sides. When you’re done gluing the wings together – so from a “double” wing you get only one – with the marker fixed on the inside (it looks better this way). For some extra magic, add some sparkle to the wings (you can also add some gems if you have one).
