How To Make A Wine Cork Holder

How to make your wine box

Start by measuring the 600mm length of your wood and cutting it with your box of rulers.Cut a second shape to make the two vertical edges of your box.Wood cutting with Mitre . boxNext measure and cut two pieces of wood 440mm long. They need to be cut longer than 400mm as they will overlap the longitudinal edges when your box is assembled.Measure and cut 440mm Top and bottomOnce you’ve cut your length, you need to use the Dremel rotary tool and the 5mm slot attachment to cut a slit on each side of the shade box to hold the glass.Dremel with 5mm . slot attachmentThe Dremel Routing Table helps keep your Dremel in place at consistent depths and aids in cutting straight lines. Set your Dremel to cut about 5mm from the front of each board and about 5mm deep.Position your Dremel to cut 5mm . deepCut the groove to the full length of the 600mm plank. Read more: how to train your love dragonCut the slot to the full length of the board 600mmCut notches on 440mm planks leaving about 5-10mm clearance at each end. These ends will overlap the slots you cut into 600mm planks after assembly.Leave some wood at the end of the 440mm . plankMeasure out the center (45mm) of the left plank and measure 30mm from the top.Measure the hole for the corkUse your drill and hole saw to drill a 40mm hole in the side.Use a 40mm . hole saw and drillNow that you’ve finished cutting and preparing all of your wood, try fitting the pieces to ensure that all edges and grooves align.Try assembling your pieces of woodDouble-sided 600mm onto the 600mm edges of your laminate. Make sure the edges are flat with the bottom of the paper and are aligned with the ends of the paper. The slot should be at the top inside the box.Glue the top vertical sidesIf you have clamps, clamp the edges in place until the glue dries. Now glue the bottom 440mm bottom face into place. Line it up with the edges of the 600mm sides and make sure the groove it aligns all around. Do not stick the top in place!Glue the bottom in placeIf you are going to varnish or stain your wine bottle glossy box, you need to varnish/stain the inside of the box now. Polish the inside of the back plate, the inside of the three side panels, and finally the inside edge of the top loose piece. You will not be able to access these areas once the glasses are in place. Be gentle and don’t force it if it gets stuck as it could break. You may need to clean some areas in the slots for the glasses to fit perfectly. Remember to clean the inside of the glass with window cleaner or alcohol before installing the glass as you won’t be able to clean it later.Slide the glass into placeWith the glass in place, you can stick the top in. Line up and make sure that the slot aligns and covers the top edge of the glass.Glue Top to PlaceLet the glue of the top dry, then varnish/stain the outside and back of the box.Varnish outside the boxWhen the polish/stain is dry, turn the box over. Mark the center for the picture hanger and screw it into place, it should be positioned about 2/3 of the way up the back of the box.Install the picture hanger on the backFinally, turn the box upside down and stick the vinyl stickers on. You should clean the glass with window cleaner before applying the sticker. It’s easier to have someone help with the stickers so they don’t wrinkle or fold. Stick the label on one side and work your way through the other to avoid wrinkles and bubbles.Apply vinyl wall stickersYour wine bottle ball box is now ready to be hung up. Put a screw in the wall and hang the box on it.
