At the end of the service, each member of the congregation was invited to take home a crucifix. into the week. Every year, my mother sends us Easter cards and doesn’t forget to add palm crosses for each family member. • Cut a long strip of cardboard/craft paper, about 0.5-1″ wide and nearly 12″ or so in length.
  • Take the strip and fold it in the center to form an upside down/L right angle.
  • Now take the vertical strip and fold it up.
  • Flip that L upside down to form a 7 and then fold the end along.
  • Then take the horizontal end and fold it over.
  • Now when you look at the back you will see you have created a small square pocket.
  • Take the horizontal arm and slide it through the bag from the back, to the end, and pull gently to make sure it’s secure.
  • Now slide the top half horizontally to form an arm of the cross.
  • Take the other end and fold in to form the second arm of the cross. (Make sure both arms are of equal length)
  • Now turn the cross upside down and take the vertical end of the cross and gently thread it through the pocket slot from the back. Leave the rest on top as you like and adjust the rest through the slot to form the legs of the cross.
  • And there you have it, your paper Palm Cross is ready!
