Kathy is a busy mother of two who loves to cook delicious and easy dinners for her family and friends. I used to love making soups with ingredients from scratch, however I often find it overwhelming to make my own. I simply found the whole process of cleaning pots and pans and hand blenders a little intimidating and obnoxious. Since bringing this product into the house, I have made many delicious and nutritious homemade soups, along with broccoli and potatoes, vegetables, cauliflower, carrots, and pumpkin soup. Consider it or not, I’ve made all of these soups within the last month alone!

I attended a blogger conference earlier this 12 months called Blissdom Canada. As part of the congress, bloggers were ready to choose from quite a few excursions to attend on the last day of the convention. I was lucky enough to get into the Final Foodie Tour organized by Lucy Waverman. After a nice breakfast at Caplinsky’s Deli in Toronto and a guided tour of Kensington Market, we continued on to Longo’s Meal Market at Maple Leaf Sq. to compete in a Cuisinart-sponsored soup problem. We were divided into 5 groups, three groups, and were given a quarter hour and $20 to purchase soup ingredients in Cuisinart Blend & Prepare dinner Soup Blender and Blender. Our soups will then be judged by a panel of three judges: a consultant from Cuisinart, Lucy Waverman and her mother, celebrity meal author and editor Lucy Waverman. e-book guide before starting the matter, we were all a little worried about how our soup would prove to be. On one level, we were afraid that our greens wouldn’t cook dinner fast enough, but in the long run the soup turned out to be delicious. Indeed, all soups do. We were all overjoyed when we discovered our prize was our very personal Cuisinart Beverage & Soup Maker! Having first hand skillful how simple and fun it is to make scrumptious soups from scratch with this blender, I can’t wait to have it delivered to my house.

Recipes for Cuisinart Prepare Dinner and Make Soup

Cuisinart Soup & Beverage Maker comes with a helpful recipe booklet. It contains recipe ideas and quite a few recipes to get you started with your new kitchen appliance. Although I’ve mostly used mine to make soups so far, you can also prepare a multitude of different types of meals with this useful system. This was one of the first many recipes I tried when recommending soup makers, and I’ve been very pleased with the results. I made the recipe almost exactly as written, however, I adjusted the amount of broccoli and potatoes to what I had on hand. I also omitted the two tablespoons of sherry known for in the mainstream recipe, as I don’t have one.

Make Gentle Cauliflower and Potatoes

Ingredients for Broccoli and Potato Soup

  • 2 cups (500 ml) vegetable broth (you can use more chicken broth)
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 small onion, into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sea salt or kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) fresh black pepper
  • 3-4 medium potatoes, peeled and smaller into 1/2 inch servings
  • 1 head broccoli, smaller into 1/2 to 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) lemon zest
  • 2 ounces (60 g) Cheddar, chopped

Direction

  • Place broth, garlic, onions, salt, pepper, potatoes, and broccoli in a blender. Cowl and set the timer for 10 minutes and the temperature to Excessive.
  • As soon as the mixture boils or the time is up, stir to combine for about 15 seconds. Set timer for half an hour and heat to Medium, stirring occasionally during cooking.
  • Immediately after the time has elapsed, add the lemon zest and Cheddar, and mix on speed 1, increasing steadily to brisk 3 for 3 minutes or until completely clean.
  • Style and adjust seasoning as desired. Optional: Garnish with grated cheddar cheese. Brew about 4 cups (1 L).

    What I Like About Cuisinart Soup Maker

    There are so many things that I like about this product. While the blender itself can be very efficient, what attracts me is the versatility to cook dinner and mix ingredients in the multifunction container. The soup maker has really been a welcome addition to my kitchen and has impressed me to make homemade soups more often. I have also used it to make marinara sauces and vegetable purees to use in various meals.Enforcement:

    • Since all the pieces are cooked and mixed in a blender, cleanup is a breeze.

    • The recipes in the recipe e-book are very rewarding and easy to follow.
    • Mass measurement allows you to make large batches of soup.
    • It really works well with batch cooking and making freezer meals.
    • If you want to make soup as an appetizer for a cocktail party or family meal, you don’t need to use the useful area within your range to cook dinner.
    • You can preserve the soup heat in the blender until you can serve it.

    What I don’t like

    So far, I really don’t have many complaints about this product. One of the issues I believe I should balance is the size and the observation regarding the timer.Defect:

    • The timer can only be set to a maximum of half an hour at a time. When the time is up, the machine usually shuts down. Generally soups take longer than half an hour to cook dinner, so you may want to consider adding more time or you will find out that your soup has stopped cooking. Being able to program it for longer than half an hour can be helpful.
    • This blender is quite large, so you may have a hard time exploring the area to retail it in your kitchen cupboard.

    All in all, I am definitely satisfied with the Cuisinart Blend & Dinner Prep Soup and Beverage Maker. I am so positive I will continue to use it to make nutritious vegetable soups, and I plan to strive among the various recipes included in the recipe booklet.
