Natural remedies will definitely work well and the only thing we need is to stick to the routine. Have a look at some effective unwanted facial hair removal masks and try it to enjoy smooth skin.
Mask – 1: (Lemon and Honey Mask)
Lemon acts as a cleansing and exfoliating agent that cleanses the area by removing dead cells, dirt, and impurities. Honey softens the hair with its hydrating and moisturizing properties. Honey and lemon mix is sticky in nature that effectively pulls off the facial hair.
They both exhibit antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that help to prevent the skin irritation and breakout. It also lightens your facial skin and makes it smooth.
Steps to be followed…
- Add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice in 4 tablespoons of raw honey.
Stir well and spread this mix all over the face as a mask.
Let it sit for about 15 – 20 minutes and then remove the mask gently by using a clean cloth soaked in lukewarm water and dry your face.
Continue this mask for 2 – 3 times a week till all your facial hair has been removed completely.
Note: Or oatmeal has a grainy texture which exfoliates the skin and helps to remove the facial hair. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of coarsely ground oatmeal and 6 – 8 drops of lemon juice in 1 tablespoon of honey. Stir well and apply it on the face. Wait for 15 – 20 minutes and rub the face in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Rinse with water and repeat twice a week regularly.
Mask – 2: (Turmeric)
Turmeric exhibits antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which clear the unwanted facial hair without any pain or infection. The sticky nature of turmeric will grab the skin tight and removes the hair from its roots.
Here are some ways of using Turmeric as Facial Hair Remover
- Chickpea (or gram) flour will exfoliate the skin to remove dirt and impurities. Stir 1 ½ teaspoon of milk, 3/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 tablespoon of milk cream in 2 tablespoons of gram flour. Spread a thick paste on the face and wait for 20 minutes to dry. Scrub the face with a warm soft cloth. Do it 3 – 4 times a week regularly.
Add 1/2 teaspoon each of plain yogurt and rose water and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric in 1 tablespoon of chickpea flour. Stir well and apply it on the face. Leave for 20 minutes to scrub off the face.
Combine equal quantities of turmeric and chickpea flour (or whole wheat flour) by adding enough sesame oil to make a paste. Spread it on the face and scrub it off after 30 minutes. Do it once a week on regular basis.
Mix 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder with enough milk (or rose water) to make a fine paste. Smear it on the face and wait for a few minutes to get dried. Then scrub your face in the opposite direction of hair growth to remove the facial hair. Repeat it regularly for once a week.
Papaya acts as natural bleach that lightens the facial hair and when mixed with turmeric will clear off the facial hair. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder in raw papaya pulp and use it to massage your face gently. Allow it to sit for 15 – 20 minutes and rinse with water thoroughly. Repeat it once a week to enjoy smooth skin without any facial hair.
Mask – 3: (Coffee and Baking Soda)
Coffee exfoliates the skin and its combination with baking soda will soften the hair and remove it easily from the root. It reduces the hair growth on the body and makes your skin soft and smooth.
Steps to be followed…
- Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of ground instant coffee in 3 tablespoons of water to make it a thick paste.
Apply this paste on all over the face and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Then rub the skin gently in circular motion and wipe off the face with a wet tissue or rinse with water.
Continue doing the same process regularly to remove the unwanted facial hair permanently from the face.
Mask – 4: (Egg Mask)
This is a peel-off mask that effectively removes your facial hair and other impurities from the skin. It also tightens the skin pores and makes you look young and beautiful.
Steps to be followed…
- Mix 1/2 tablespoon of corn flour in 1 egg white to make a fine paste.
Apply it on the face and leave for 15 – 20 minutes to dry the mask.
Peel it off and repeat this mask for 2 – 3 times a week on a regular basis till you get rid of facial hair completely.
Note: Or whisk 1 egg white and mix 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1/2 tablespoon of corn flour in it. Stir well and apply it on the face thoroughly as a mask. Leave for 15 – 20 minutes and peel it off.
Mask – 5: (Red Lentils with Milk)
Red lentils have excellent scrubbing property without harming the skin and thereby remove the unwanted facial hair effectively. Milk smooths the skin and helps in removing the facial hair.
Steps to be followed…
- Grind 1/2 cup of red lentils and sieve it to get a fine powder.
Then add 2 tablespoons of red lentil powder with raw milk (or honey) to make it as a paste and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
Store the remaining powder in an airtight container for regular usage.
Apply the paste on your face evenly and wait for 15 – 20 minutes.
Now scrub the face gently for a few minutes and rinse off with water.
Regular application of this mask for 2 – 3 times a week will help you to get rid of the facial hair.
