This sweet and bitter ice cream is simple and great for this summer that can be made in any ice cream maker and is a BIG treat with kids of all ages. I like to whip up a batch as soon as a few weeks and let my kids enjoy it while they soak up the summer sun. To start this fun ice cream, you’ll want to make the foundation. I take advantage of the French vanilla base because it blends perfectly with the style of the recent MIKE AND IKE Mega Combine Bitter, which is readily available at most Walmart stores. To make my base, I simply added my half and a half to the sauce pan and warmed it until it was well appreciated but not boiling. Then I mix the egg yolks and sugar together in a mixer and slowly pour in the burned halves and halves, mixing all the ingredients the whole time.
