Quinoa is cooked with liquid to create a wonderfully soft cooked grain that is extremely versatile and gluten-free.

  • Quinoa – use white, crimson or tricolor (my favorite is to use 1/2 white and 1/2 tricolor as seen right here)
  • Country – vegetable broth can be used to add flavor
  • Pink salt – only a handful can do it
  • Garlic powder – buffet, however I sometimes add a bit to taste as it comes with almost all the servings (also used as a cereal)

How to make Quinoa in an Instant Pot

Rinse the quinoa:

  • Give the quinoa a great rinse under cool running water using a great mesh strainer, gently shaking again just a few times.

Washing the quinoa seeds removes the outer coating, the layer that contains the saponins, and creates the bitter taste. I have to admit that I usually skip this step, but you’ll want to rinse it off when you notice a bitter taste.Stressful dinner preparation:

  • Place the quinoa, water, and any seasonings on the back of the Instant Pot insert. Connector cap, turn to the locked place.
  • Set valve to SIGN.
  • Set to HIGH tension and set manual to 1 minute prepare dinner time (it will take about 7 minutes to get back to stress).
