From here all you need to do is double click on your newly expanded layer, this will take you one layer deeper in the group, you can tell by looking just below the toolbar, it will say Layer > Group. Next, just click on the “underline”, and drag it down to make it bigger, then reposition it if you have to. You should have something similar:
Final technique (fast)
Okay, this is a really cool tutorial and as such there is actually another way you can do it. If you don’t want to go into the character palette, you can simply draw a Line / Rectangle by pressing (for straight line) and M on the Keyboard for Rectangle.For some people, this is actually the simplest method, and you probably also get a little more creative control. So maybe try both ways and see which works for you.
