Try to make sure you are calm when picking them up.Place the ferret on your forearm (as in the photo above) with their head away from your body (so they can’t easily bite you). Use this as an opportunity to calm your ferret and use a gentle voice to praise your ferret for being calm. You can do this for about 10 seconds, then gently put your ferret down.
