How To Tell If Someone Is Faking Fibromyalgia

How do you know someone is faking fibromyalgia? Huh! This is one thing people google. And I can tell you the short answer right now is statistically speaking if you think no, then you are most likely right. Because it’s very rare that someone fakes an illness. I know a lot of people out there who have a hard time detecting fibromyalgia. And if they know someone with it, they might not understand it even then. Because we are here with this invisible disability with chronic fatigue and pain that no one can see…it is hard to know our world especially when We are trying to function in Yours. . Because they cannot be seen or known. Doubt occurred. I do not know why. You can’t see 99% of chronic diseases. However, being suspicious of someone’s chronic pain is not a great thing. It was extremely painful. And my only piece of advice if you can’t believe their existence with chronic pain is what my parents used to say ‘if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything’. In other words, if you have no empathy, no sympathy, no compassion… then don’t say anything. We do not need your understanding. And we can certainly live without your judgment. Silence is your friend. Just because:

  • There are forms of chronic pain that are easier to fake if someone has such a predisposition to douching.
  • And if you’re going to pick anything up to fake, I don’t think you’ll get a syndrome that is heavily stigmatized to this day.
  • And I don’t think you would choose the one that doctors and employers doubt to this day.

I don’t think it’s as many people as people think but I can’t find an index on that. But there is cheating going on. And for many reasons I suppose. But with such low numbers if you think people are faking you are doing it the wrong way, one way, the other way more times than ever you will be right. Social Security Administration statistics indicate that fraud and abuse are relatively small, in the vicinity one percent. I don’t think it’s any different from any other system. I think any system where people are getting benefits, there are people going to try to take advantage of that system. I certainly know of cases or have heard of cases where someone gets a pension, keeps working, gets cash under the table, those are really obvious cases. The less obvious ones are the ones where maybe someone is already receiving benefits and just doesn’t want to work, so they’re not motivated to work. For each case where I really think a person has a disability and shouldn’t be, I can list five or ten cases where I think people have been turned away that shouldn’t have been. I think, I simply think that the system is so set up that it is very difficult to convince Social Security that a person has a disability. If Social Security can find a job that a person can do anywhere, not even in your location but in your area, they will turn you down by saying you should go find a job there. I can’t tell you the number of cases where I’ve witnessed it breaks my heart that in such a small amount of work, the Social Security Administration would deny someone’s claim. The difficulty of convincing Social Security that someone has a disability makes it more likely that a person is denied their due benefits than the other way around. There’s not a lot of cheating like that, in a way, more disabled but disabled people are out there than ‘fake’ people.

But it can’t see it fibromyalgia and that’s because someone sometimes looks good on the outside.

And I know it’s hard to say. So I’ve come up with a few things to consider when suspicious people in your family or friends have fibromyalgia to see if maybe they’re faking it.

You see them doing something. Obviously, this implies that they are not disabled by pain.

Oh wait, then you won’t see what they do next week. In fact, they don’t seem to get out of the house and seem to be in great pain and very tired. This is called Flare Up. And they did it knowing it would cause an outbreak but they did it anyway because a) they had to b) they wanted to c) they felt obligated to do it. But maybe you don’t see this at all because it’s behind closed doors and you don’t know them well. All You See Is They Did One Thing.

They don’t do one thing one day and then do it the next! I mean, WHAT? Obviously fake.

Or, wait, maybe… just maybe a day with no recovery time from said and recovery time is required but the next day they would have a day or so of recovery time so they did choose that day to do the said thing.

They always complain about being tired but they sleep a lot

Fibromyalgia is very strange in that we can sleep for a long time and not get a good night’s sleep, so we wake up feeling like a zombie that has decayed for 5 days. . Because our sleep is not deep, good, not deep. And so we don’t get refreshing sleep no matter how much we sleep or not. In addition, we are very susceptible to sleep disorders: late-onset insomnia, restless legs syndrome, sleep apnea and more. Plus it’s the pain that makes sleep really hard to achieve and maintain. We have a hard time sleeping, tossing and turning and of course, when we wake up, the blood is tired. And of course our brain wants to sleep more if we can sleep because we are sleep deprived And we rest because we are extremely tired. It’s not ‘fatigue’ but something that pulls you to the ground and holds you there. And being tired has nothing to do with sleep deprivation but it certainly doesn’t help.

They have a lot of symptoms. That can’t even be true

There are many in this syndrome. It affects the brain and nervous system, so there is a wide range of symptoms a person can have. It seems to be more attractive to us than to the person observing us.
