If your branch is too big to fit inside the oven then you are having a hard time with Method #2! This method is equally effective, but takes longer!

Find a crate, crate, or tub large enough to hold your twigs.

Fill the tub with water, keeping track of the approximate amount of water you are using. I use a bucket to fill my bathtub for monitoring, i.e. 10 buckets full of water makes about 30 gallons in total.

You MUST wait for the wood to dry completely before adding it to your reptile enclosure for one of two reasons: 1) If you add it in a humid environment it will never dry out and is likely to grow fungus moldy or 2) if you add it to an arid environment it will spike the humidity of your enclosure for a few days.
