Over the years, we’ve discovered some helpful tricks to make wax cleaning easy, so you can focus on the important part: having fun with the scent!
Try one or more of the following tricks the next time you swap scents:
- Place a ribbon on the bottom of your warmer dish – make sure one end sticks out on one side! Then, when it’s time to change the wax, unplug the heater, let the wax cool, then grab the end of the ribbon to pop out the entire wax pad.
- While the wax is still melted, drop a cotton ball into a warmer dish (usually one cotton pad per block of wax) and let it soak up the wax, then remove and toss in the trash.
- Pour the liquid wax into the trash (never down the drain!), then wipe the warmer plate clean with a paper towel.
- Turn off the heater and let the wax cool. Next, turn it back on and let the wax soften a bit – then it should slide off the plate and into the trash in one piece.
- Turn off the heater and let the wax cool until it solidifies. Then, use a knife to gently loosen the edges and separate the wax into one piece. If you choose this method, do it very carefully because if you scratch or break your dishes, it will void the warranty.
