Stretch all the needles by pressing on the washer to move them beyond the end of the knife.

Slowly apply left-to-right turning torque to the lever and the lock will open.

Once the buckle is selected, remove the tubular buckle and tighten the collar.

Now comes the great part. Once the collar is tightened down, you now hold a key in your hand to open the tubular lock several times. With the tubular key decoder you can actually measure the height of each corresponding pin in a clockwise pattern around the tubular lock pin. With that “code,” you can have your locksmith generate a duplicate key. That, or you can take your now decrypted tubular key to a locksmith and have them recreate a key.It was really scary not only to open the tubular locks, but to keep opening them over and over again. To me, they are less secure than household locks and cup locks, due to the ease of generating new keys.
