Can track:
If you have trouble drawing hands-free owls, that’s okay! You can use the provided trackable. Print it on standard sized computer paper and use a sheet of white graphite paper. You can also rub a white pencil on the back of the paper and make marks.
Directions Brief:
Step by step pictures:
1. Paint the entire canvas dark blue. Pour some “black” and “too blue” on the canvas. (Mars black and phthalo blue if you’re using Liquitex). Use a 1 flat brush to spread the paint out and fill the entire canvas. The color will turn a very dark blue, almost black!Read more: how to make slime with air wick | Top Q&A When I drew this picture, I didn’t mix black and blue on the canvas. In fact, if you notice at the top, there’s a bit more blue than black (it’s lighter at the top). Read more: how to make slime with air wick | Top Q&A2. Draw the owl’s eyes and beak. Use a 1/8″ flat brush to draw two small circles for the first owl. Wait for the whites to dry a bit then add two blue circles inside the white circles. Add an orange beak below and between the eyes. I used orange and a bit of white (orange tends to fade so adding white helps!)Read more: How to fix profsvc service can’t login on windows 10Read more: how to make slime with air wick | Top Q&A3. Paint the head and body contours.Next, I used a 1/4″ flat brush and “purple iris” to outline the owl’s head and body. I also dipped my brush in a little white to create some color variations. paint it with purple color and allow it to show on a dark background. Fill in the owl with the curved strokes that go with the owl’s shape. Also, paint some wings and ears!Read more: how to make slime with air wick | Top Q&A4. Paint Some Owl Feathers I switched to the small round brush #3 and black to paint the belly feathers. Paint small “u” lines.Read more: how to make slime with air wick | Top Q&A5. Owl Eyes EndingFill two black circles inside the green circle. Wait for the black to dry and then paint the white dots inside the circle. 6. Paint the owl’s legs purple then continue to draw the next owl. I used a #3 ring to paint the owl’s legs in purple orange with a bit of white on the brush. Then I continued to hurt the little turquoise owl. This time, I wanted to draw a smaller owl so I drew the eye lower than the first one. Read more: how to make slime with air wick | Top Q&A7. Paint the body of the second owl. I used “Bimini Blue” for the second owl and the same brush (1/4″ flat). Paint the head and body around the eyes. Continue painting the arms, ears and feathers, then the paws. Read more: how to make slime with air wick | Top Q&A8. Draw a branchI used a 1/2″ flat brush dipped in both Nutmeg Brown and White (Raw Sienna and Titanium White). Use the tip of the brush to draw a tree branch. Press firmly for a thicker label and lightly press when you want the branch to be thinner. Use the tip of the brush to draw small branches.
9. Draw Some Bright Green Leaves!I used round brush number 3 and “shamrock green + white” to paint the leaves. Load brushes with both green and white. Paint leaves on top of branches. I also drew some overhanging leaves in the upper right corner. 10. Paint Splatter Stars! This is always my favorite part! Use an old toothbrush to draw stars on the canvas. Dip the brush in white (NO water!!). Flick it with your finger! Check out different angles of the toothbrush. Try dragging it closer to the canvas or away. You will get different consistency. I was able to create a “galaxy” effect by placing the toothbrush very close to the canvas. 11. Paint a white crescent moon and then paint yellow on white. You won’t be able to see that yellow unless you paint it white first! Use the 3rd round brush to draw a crescent shape. Wait for that white color to dry and then paint a layer of yellow on top. 12. Write “Owl Always Love You” with a gold or copper sharpener. I just love this bronze Sharpie! It renders very nicely against a dark background on canvas! I wrote the quote “Owls always love you” in the sky. 13. Done! Easy, simple and absolutely adorable!I finished this painting twice!
