- Collect all your shells. Take out anything that’s too thick to fit your frame when it’s closed.
- Split your shells into several piles – small ones, larger ones, and more special ones.
- Start with the more special ones – place them on the front glass (face down). Fill around them with larger shells.
- Fill all cracks and small holes with small shells. Shake your frame a bit to spread everything around.
- Place the baseplate on your frame and erect it. As the crust settles, you’ll see white spots at the top of the frame.
- Open the frame again and fill in the blanks with more shells.
- Tape the back of the frame to secure it.
