Installed and timed the bolt handle It needs to be processed to exact specifications and lined up in the correct position at the same time. I must have lived up to it today because it was perfect on the first try. I gave the client the choice of using Loctite for bolt fixing or TIG welding in place. I looked on Amazon for any tips from the previous installer. Nothing, I watched the video on YouTube. The pins are shown as part of the kit, but they have never been installed by the user. I think the assumption is that the screws hold the mount in place and the pins? Meh, must be sub. Except that is wrong. The pins are what hold the mount in place. Lock it into a position so it doesn’t move under recoil. The large screws are what keep the mount from straying from the pins. But they don’t hold the mount in a fixed position. If they do, you’ll never get the screw into the hole. They will be too tight. In fact, there are slopes in the holes for the screws, rightly so. Without the pins, the mount would change with recoil and the gun would never hold zero. The last set of small screws then mechanically locks the large screws into place. This is a metal version of Loctite. Now that I have a plan, it has started working.

Heat the collector to expand the metal. The index pins go into the freezer and the receiver goes into the receiving device. I cleaned up and did some office work while the pins froze. This is the key to this mount. The screws just keep it from coming back. They don’t really keep it in place.
