Rose syrup recipe is very easy to make at home. This recipe requires only 3 elements of rose petals, water and sugar to make. I used dried rose petals to make this syrup. To make this simple rose syrup, simply boil water, sugar, and dried rose petals until the sugar dissolves. I used dried hibiscus petals as a pure meal colorant, it didn’t have to be soaked for long to produce any noticeable floral aroma. You’ll most likely only add a few drops of rose water to the syrup if you opt for florals and intense flavors.

The above measurements yielded 250ml of syrup. Leave this syrup in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it. You will most likely keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3 months. While straining the syrup, use a spatula to press the rose petals again to extract as much syrup as possible. Remove the spoon from the pan and make sure the syrup coats the spoon evenly. Do not soak hibiscus petals for more than 5 minutes. Hibiscus petals act as a pure colorant, soaking for a very long time will impart its fragrance in the syrup. Natural rose petals are edible.
