Mix the tape with a thick fairing mix with 410 Microlight™. Allow everything to heal. Then all the sand rises to a fine grain and mix everything well. Align the two planer board components as shown, making sure to maintain parallel and vertical alignment. Place the tube in the saddle and drill through the tube and into the planer board as shown. The hole should be larger than the diameter of the screw so that the screw can be pushed through the aluminum tube and into the wood without needing to screw the screw. Remove the screw and tube. Apply epoxy paint WEST SYSTEM 105/205 (tidy) on the surface of the saddle and interior holes. Then thicken the epoxy with 406 Colloidal Silica to a mayonnaise-like consistency and apply an adequate amount to the hole, screw and saddle surfaces. Place the tubes in their place and press all the hysteresis screws through the tubes and into the board. Clean off excess epoxy and then let everything cure in place overnight. The structure will be strong and solid, smoothing all surfaces with 80-grit sandpaper. File the ends of the aluminum tubes so that they are smooth and flush with the edge of the planer board. Paint all surfaces with multiple coats of a sprayable matte primer that corrects imperfections for the desired finish. The length of the border allows for some adjustments that will affect tracking; start with the middle setting. Last step: go fishing.
