You only need to see about half of your frame.I didn’t do this but if you want to be precise you can measure the thickness of the frame and mark halfway with a tape measure so you know where to stop your notch. Do this again for both the top and bottom.

Finally, it’s time to sand your loom.

Take sandpaper and gently rub between your notches to make them smoother, don’t sand them completely. You still want your thread to grip between the grooves so they don’t slip out in the middle of the project, but you also don’t want them to be too rough and break your thread.I recommend testing your notches with the actual yarn that you will be using to warp your loom.
