My favorite thing about Halloween is the costumes. Costumes, makeup, sparkles- I love them all! I used to dress myself up before having kids. For years, I’ve been making amazingly elaborate costumes full of details and looking forward to Halloween night just to dress up. I don’t make a lot of costumes anymore but I love making them for my kids. This year my daughter decided to make a Shopkins doll for Halloween. I think Shoppies are adorable so I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this theme! The hardest part is choosing Shoppie to trick or deal with. In fact, she considered joining Strawberry Kiss, Cupcake Queen, or Lippy Lips but ultimately decided on a Shoppie Shopkins outfit because she said no one else would join as a Shoppie. I love this girl.
Shopkins Shoppies
The original four Chef Club Shoppies were Donatina, Jessicake, Peppa Mint and Bubbleisha and each had their own VIP card. So cute! There are now 67 Shoppies. It’s really crazy! I’m glad there are only a few to choose from in 2016 as there are some really adorable new Shoppies! My little girl likes Donatina because she loves pink hair and the fact that she can hand out donuts at school on Halloween. She is my daughter! There are so many “holes” to love this sweet character! This kids costume took a while to put together but it was so worth it! I really really wanted to make a donut cart like the one in Donatina’s Donut Delights but I ran out of time. So sad.

DIY Donut Shoes for Shopkins Halloween Costume, Dress Up or Cosplay
I start with the shoes. We chose Minnie Mouse dress shoes because the pink color looks pretty close to Donatina’s shoe color. I created a step by step tutorial on how to make Donatina donut heels just for you.The apron took less than 30 minutes to put together. I put some glitter on my apron with glitter glue and let it dry for about 20 minutes. You can find the entire tutorial on how to sew a simple baby apron by clicking on the hyperlink.

First cut the brown felt fabric in half, you can stick the blue collar and brown ruffles onto the fabric but if you intend to reuse I recommend sewing by hand and then Remove the stitches when Halloween is over.
Create ruffled sleeves with felt
Freestyle cut ruffles on the sleeves. They will look a bit wavy Read more: how to use Overrive in a car Next, to create a gathered look, take your needle and thread and sew loosely along the straight edge. When you get to the end, pull the thread to create a pleated look. Tie a knot to secure. I pressed down the folds to make it easier to sew on the core, but you don’t have to. I have found it makes it easier to sew. This is what you will look like when finished.
Create a collar with felt
Now create the collar. Place a piece of blue felt under the neckline as shown below.Next, you draw the neckline on the blue felt and cut.Sew the collar to the fabric, or if you don’t intend to reuse it outside of your outfit, you can glue it. Do not use Elmer’s glue. I would suggest fabric glue or even hot glue. After stitching, trim the top to make a nice point at the top. Now, sew the tassels around the arms.
Pink wig for Donatina’s hair
For Donatina’s hair, I used a My Little Pony Pinkie Pie wig and pulled it up into two ponytails to make it look more like Donatina’s hair. For hot glue tie three plush donuts together, then secure to a yellow headband with hotter glue. Finish with a large pink bow.Read more: how to set pulse on kodi 17 krypton This is the complete look… wig, headband, collar and ruffle.Donatina is ready for you to tour her donut shop!
