How To Make A Lego Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
LEGO fan Brent Waller is known for his openness collaboration between LEGO and Ghostbusters. His Ghostbusters submission on the LEGO Ideas platform was selected as an official set and released in 2014 as #21108 LEGO Ideas Ghostbusters Ecto-1. Since then, LEGO has also released LEGO Ghostbusters #75827 Firehouse Headquarters, LEGO Ghostbusters #75828 Ecto-1 & Ecto-2 (based on the new movie) and three LEGO Dimensions Ghostbusters packs. So now we have all the main characters, two awesome vehicles, lots of ghosts and even the Man Who Stayed Puft Marshmallow. While LEGO’s Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is cute, it’s just the minifig size and won’t be much of a treat. Brent actually had another Ghostbusters project on LEGO Ideas with the big Marshmallow Man, which would be a perfect match for the released sets. However, while the project was successful in gathering 10,000 votes from the public, it was not approved by LEGO. I understand that this has to do with the lack of playability (Marshmallow Man is more of a sculpture than a set of toys) and the somewhat flimsy nature of the model. While the big LEGO Stay Puft Marshmallow Man may not meet LEGO’s strict criteria for being an official LEGO set and may not be suitable for young children, it is still a great model to display alongside other LEGO Ghostbusters sets. So, following LEGO’s decision, Brent is happy to make the instructions available to everyone as an LDD (LEGO Digital Designer) file. Read more: how to make a rope ladder for a tree houseIf you want to build LEGO Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, all you need to do is download the free LDD program from the LEGO website (if you haven’t already), then download the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man zip file from the Brent website and open it it’s in LDD. Please note that while you can build an entire file-based model, the instructions in the LDD are not as refined and streamlined as in a full-fledged LEGO set. However, you can manipulate the program to see how things are built, and you can also change colors and parts if you want.To help with the construction, Brent included so does the second file, where the model is broken down into segments that are easier to build. And in the zip file you will also find a bright image for Marshmallow Man’s face, which you can print out on stickers or decals and stick on the face. If you don’t have all the parts needed to build your own Marshmallow man, upload an LDD part list to BrickLink to create a Wanted List to make the shopping process easy.
