The remote mount equalizer can be mounted in the trunk or anywhere else between the head unit and the amp. It’s important to place your equalizer in a location that you can easily access to adjust the sound. Install the remote mount EQ using screws and screwdrivers. You may want to create a foundation for EQ if you anticipate vehicle clattering will skew the EQ’s performance. Sometimes, attaching the EQ directly to the vehicle’s steel surface can cause distortion due to vibrations from uneven roads. Mount the EQ below or above the head unit for a secure location and easy installation. Or you can attach a special mounting kit below the dash and place the EQ just below the dash. Where you fit the EQ depends on how much space is available in your dashboard and how comfortable you are with the modifications you make in your vehicle.EQ Wiring Configuration You need to connect the EQ to the fuse board to generate 12 volts of power. Strip one end of the 16 gauge wire and connect it to the EQ’s power input. Route the wire to the fuse panel and connect the wire using the fuse tap to the 12 volt power supply. For the ground connection, you must remove a bolt or screw near the EQ (or drill a hole to add one). Use the crimping tool to crim a ring connector to the end of your wire, then screw the bolt/screw back into the hole. Strip a small piece at the end of the cigarette lighter cord. Now, take an additional wire that will extend from the head unit to the EQ, and strip a chunk from its end. Connect the two wires with a crimping or soldering tool. Use electrical tape to secure connections and prevent short-circuits. Run the pop lead from your dash to the EQ and fasten the wires with a lanyard. But before re-inserting the input device, you need to establish a signal connection. To do so, connect a set of RCA cables to the preamp output of the head unit. Stick the RCA cables together to prevent them from coming apart. Run the RCA cables through the dash to the equalizer and connect them to the EQ input. Use an additional RCA cable to connect the EQ to the amplifier (one set of RCA cables per amp). Connect the RCA cables to the amp’s output and run them back to the EQ’s input. Do not run the cord together with the amp’s power cable, doing so may result in undesired sound distortion. Turn on the EQ and make sure all functions work properly. If everything works, put the input device back in place and you’re ready to go.Buy a car balancerRead more: how to hack windows 8 password without software
