They can be quite heavy! There are several creative ways to use pallet signs in your home. This is one of my favorites at House Tweak. The headboard said exactly what I was thinking! There are two ways you can hang your sign. One, you can find studs on your wall and drill the screws in width. Or two, you can put the drywall anchors and screw in them wherever you want. Either way works to keep your subscription. And both require the same measurement technique. Step 1: Choose sturdy hardware to hold your sign. This is what I picked up at Wal Mart in the section near the tools. You can also choose to buy them with drywall anchors. The package is marked Heavy Suspension Kit. I’m confident these will do the trick. Thank you for clearly marking the label!!Step 1Step 2: If you want to go without drywall anchors then you will need to find studs in your wall. I used a stud finder. And if you have a husband like me, be prepared for clever remarks about finding a son. He thinks he’s funny to beep himself!! Okay, I usually laugh too. I also realized this was the perfect opportunity to stroke his ego and ask for help!step 2_stud finderStep 3: Once you have located the studs, eh hem… .in your wall, mark their locations with chalk. Mine are 16 inches apart, which I think is pretty standard. I like to use chalk because it can be easily wiped off when you’re done.As for the width placement of your screws (see diagram below) Find the hub where you want to hang your pallet sign. Mine was the center of my love seat, so I measured the length of my love seat and split it in half. My center chalk mark ends up being centered between the two studs, which means I don’t need a drywall anchor. Next, I drew two vertical lines (with a level) over my marks that I made earlier to mark the studs. Then I will measure 8 inches to the left and right of my center point. Then I would draw vertical lines at those points instead of the location of the studs. For the height placement of your screws (see diagram below) This can be easiest with help from your stud muffins, especially if your pallet sign is large. I hanged myself without my help, but surely it would have been easier with help. Hold your sign and mark on the wall with chalk where you want the bottom of the sign to fall, then measure your pallet sign from the bottom up to where you want your hardware. Go ahead and mark that with a pen on your sign, you’ll use that later. Take that measurement (mine was 18 inches) and measure from your mark on the wall marked the bottom of the sign and measure up to 18 inches or whatever your measurements are. Draw a horizontal line holding a level. Where your vertical and horizontal lines intersect is where you will place screws or drywall anchors if needed. Still with me?Step 3Step 4: Perform the same measurement technique on the pallet. Find the center of your pallet. Then measure 8 inches on the left and 8 inches on the right. Draw vertical lines with a degree at these points. Finally, draw a horizontal line with a level from the mark you made in Step 3, 18 inches from the bottom. Where these lines intersect, drill screws into your hardware to hold them in place. One note: make sure your screws are short enough that they don’t go through your pallet.Step 4Okay, it’s time to hang up and you’re done! And if you somehow get the measurement wrong, push the couch a little left or right and your STUDENT will never know. However, that never happened, right? Stay tuned for the big reveal once I’ve completed a few projects, including the little board on the right. Have a nice weekend, Moxies!Chillax_stagedLindsayRead more: how to earn 10 dollars a day online
