How To Grow Hair After Big Chop

Video How to grow hair after cutting bigThe hair question I seem to get the most from you guys is “What do I do with my hair to make it grow so fast?” However, everyone’s hair is different. Some people have slow hair growth. While others have hairs that grow like weeds. I cut my hair a lot. Hair grows faster when you cut it. At least that’s the legend. However, I believe that regular trimming will only help you to keep longer as you will eliminate split ends and minimize breakage. So other than cutting it, what do I do with my hair to make it grow? Ceiling minimum. I will explain. Here are some tips on how to grow your hair naturally after a big cut.How to grow out your natural hair after a big cut

I usually wash & incubate my hair after 7-10 days. And use a cleansing shampoo at least once a month to remove product buildup. I moisturize my hair with the LOC method (Leave, Oil, Cream). A lightweight, water-based conditioner that works best for my hair. Like milk and lotion. In terms of oil, I prefer Jamaican Black Castor Oil or Coconut Oil. For the creamy part of the recipe, I use styling cream or gellee. Then style with gel (preferably Eco Styler Olive Oil Gel) for hold. I believe my hair has medium porosity. However, I mostly have a 4c so it can get thirsty at times. I use a spray bottle with water or a hair refresher to add moisture to my hair between washing days.

Regular pruning

As I mentioned earlier, regular haircuts will help get rid of split ends. This minimizes breakage and helps you retain the length. I recommend trimming your hair once per season. I cut my hair practically every season when I keep it short and trim the sides every few weeks. You may have to trim/trim your hair more often with a tapered cut, depending on your length/shape goals.

Keep thermal styling to a minimum

Try to avoid putting too much heat directly on your hair and always use a heat protectant. My current favorite thermal protector is the ORS Black Olive Repair 7 Oil Elixir. I only use heat when drying my hair to cut. Or if I don’t want to leave the house with wet hair. To avoid this, I styled my hair the night before and let it dry overnight.

Wear a low-manipulation hairstyle

Then style it in a Wash and Go style using The Shingling Method. My hairstyle usually lasts up to two weeks. To stay in style, I sleep with a satin bonnet. In the morning, I spray water or hair spray if the hair is dry. I lift my root with a fork if it’s flattened and glue it back. That’s it. As my hair grows longer, I wear the Perm Rod Set which can also last two weeks. If I’m wearing a Twist Out, I’ll twist it smaller so the style will last longer without having to twist it back. And if I do Chunky Twist Out, I twist every 3 days. Bottom line, I don’t brush my hair too much on a daily basis. This equates to less tangles and breaks, and therefore longer.

Protective style

When it comes to low-action hairstyles, you can’t help but mention protective styles. Protective styling takes your hair out of your daily routine so you can peacefully grow your natural hair. I love Box Braids, Marley Twists and Goddess Locs. But you can choose any design that makes your boat stand out. Don’t forget to prepare your hair properly before creating a protective style.

Vitamin

The use of hair growth vitamins is mentioned by many people. I don’t take vitamins for hair. However, I don’t regularly take a Women’s Daily Multivitamin (currently using this). My vitamins contain Biotin which is great for hair, skin and nails. Years ago I used to take Biotin Supplements and saw results with hair and nail growth. However, it made my face really bad. So if you decide to use Biotin, you will need to drink extra water to flush your system. Be sure to consult your doctor before starting any vitamin regimenRead more: how to keep your shirt from unraveling These tips will definitely help you in your journey to nurture your natural hair.
