How To French Braid With Extensions

How to make French braids with milk and blush

When it comes to certain hairstyles, sometimes we need a little help from Milk + Blush Hair Extensions to get our look done. This week, I’m going to show you how to create a super flawless and bouncy French braid using hairpins. It’s cute and elegant while remaining practical, however some of us need a little help with length and thickness when it comes to an Elsa-worthy braid. Enter: hair extensions – it’s a great way to enhance your natural braids and it couldn’t be simpler! What you will need:

  • Milk + Blush Hair Extensions (I usually choose the Milk + Blush Quad Weft Set (link) in lengths of 20-22” when styling French Braid, but you can choose any of our sets depending on the type. your hair and what kind of look you’re looking for)
  • Brush
  • 1 part clip
  • 1 elastic band

  • Start by gently combing your hair back into sections at the front for a generous amount.
  • Separate the hair in the middle at the back and clip a section up and side out.
  • Gently grip the roots of the parting for extra grip.
  • Clamp this section lengthwise and clip as many wefts over this section as you like. I started with a 3 clamp and then put a 2 clamp on top (if you are using the Classic Kit, I recommend using one 3-clamp shaft and two 2-clamp shafts).
  • Repeat this on the other side – the seams of the weft threads should meet in the middle on the part.
  • After the hairs have been secured, comb all your hair back
  • Take a section of hair on the top of your head, divide it into three and braid the two outer sections in the middle.

  • Once you can’t match any more hair ends with three curls braids and secure the ends with elastic bands
  • Gently pull the finished braid to make it thicker
