Do not be frightened by the fact that it is on a hat! This is really a beginner project. I’m in love with the recent trend of hand embroidery on clothes, but can’t swallow all the designer racks. This is an easy way to sew on hats, jeans, bags, t-shirts, anything! This little pattern would look adorable sewn in a hoop as an ornament or a backpack sticker.
When I’m not doing anything, I’m usually outside with my kids. I had so much fun combining those two interests together in this project, and I hope you enjoy it too!

- Dark blue purple: 791
- Lemon green: 907
- Citrine green: 472
- Grass green: 905
- Light purple: 554
- Dark purple: 550
- Vanilla: 718
- Light pink: 957
- Coral: 956
Steps:
Step 1:Pre-wash your hat! If you ever intend to machine wash it, you’ll need to wash it in the same way first to remove any shrinkage. Print PDF template on Fabri-Solvy, cut around, pull cap and peel back/press to adhere.
Step 2:Start stitching! All stitches are made with 2 threads unless otherwise noted below:
Green trunk: trunk stitch
Vanilla: 3 strands
Light pink flowers: satin stitch (as in the picture, I like to do a backstitch around the hem and then satin stitch on it!), 1 yarn Light purple flowers: lazy daisy stitch
Step 3:When you’re done, remove the bracelet and turn it upside down to soak in warm water for a while, then rinse Fabri-Solvy with running water.
Step 4:Add any craft stitches to create more buds or centers, like I did, let dry in the sun (I recommend rolling a towel underneath to help shape it) and you’re good to go. ready to wear it!
