How To Draw A Cyclops

We are very fond of characters from ancient Greek mythology, and many of them have been drawn on our website. In this lesson we will show you how to draw a cyclops – one of the most famous characters of ancient Greek mythology. In different versions of myths and legends, the cycles are represented in different ways, but they are always depicted as one-eyed giants.

First of all, we need to draw a skeleton of a tall and strong character. ВDraw the outline of the rounded head and spine. On the spine outline the chest and pelvis. With the help of simple lines, sketch the arms and legs. Note that the ratio of the circulations is slightly different from that of an average person.

Outline the outline of the wide body, narrowing the waist slightly. Next, using simple geometric shapes, we outline the arms and legs of the circles. In the same step, sketch a giant club in the hands of the character. Starting with this step, we will use clear and dark lines. First, draw the outline of the bald head, monolid eyes and nose. Sketch the wrinkles on the sides of the eyes.

We continue to draw the top of our cyclic loops. Carefully draw the outline of the large beard, ears and long hair. Use long wavy lines to draw the hair of the beard. Remove all unnecessary lines from our character’s head.

Now let’s move on to the branches of the cyclops. Here we draw large muscular arms. Draw the deltoid, biceps, triceps, and forearm muscles. Next, draw the feather and club frames.

Now let’s draw the lower part of the body of the circles. Pull out the torn loincloth. Next, carefully draw out the muscular contours of the legs, as in our example. Don’t forget to draw our character’s knees and shoes.

Step 9

The drawing is almost done, and we just need to add some shadows to make our character more massive. Using dense shading, add a drop shadow like in our example.
