Fill it all with solid black. Remove large branches, draw 3-5 medium branches, use pen wiggle to create serrated lines. You want these branches to be thicker at the base and thinner at the end. You can always thicken them up a bit if needed. Now let’s start drawing small branches growing out in different directions. Some are longer, some are shorter.
