With the September 2020 update, you can now change a unit’s IV with the characteristic Fruit. Fruit to change the unit’s IV, so be aware of which one you choose. You can change the IV of your favorite or strongest units!

Understanding how IVs work

In Fire Emblem Heroes, each individual unit is pulled from a banner with a value known as an Individual Value (IV). As IVs vary between units, the same hero can have different stats after reaching max level.

Stats are raised and Stats are reduced

There exists a basic set of stats for every hero in the game (called base stats). IV causes one of a hero’s base stats to increase by 3~4 points and another by 3~4 points.

Superboons and Superbanes

When a unit with this strong stat (called a superboon) is its IV, it results in +4 points above base value. How to check IV
