- Wheel stoppers (to prevent your vehicle from rolling)

- Socket size:
- 22mm or 7/8” (for 5 wheel lug nuts, 130 ft-lb preload torque)
- 13mm (to remove/reassemble calipers, 31 ft-lb preload torque)
- 21 mm (to remove/reassemble clamp frame, 130 ft-lb preload torque)
- Break bar (for bolt installation)
- Ratchet with extension (for bolt installation)
- Caliper spreader or C-clamp (for rewinding caliper pistons),

- Park the vehicle on a level and firm surface. Use a wheel stopper to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
- Loosen (but do not remove) the nut using a 7/8” or 22mm socket breaker bar.
- Jack up and support the vehicle, remove the lug nuts and remove the tire.
- Use an abraded 13mm hole socket to remove the 2 hex bolts that hold the caliper to the caliper holder. Use pliers to keep the caliper slider from rotating.
- Place the flat screwdriver between the spacer and the rotor, carefully pry back to compress the piston and loosen the caliper.
- Slide the caliper out and hang it to the coil spring using a zip tie.
- Slide/pry the old gaskets out with a flat-head screwdriver.
- Use the 22mm socket breaker bar to remove the 2 hex bolts holding the caliper holder. Slide the bracket off the rotor.
- The factory rotor will come with a washer holder. Use pliers or a side cutter to remove the retainer from the stud. Repositories are not structural and do not need to be reinstalled.
- If the propeller is frozen, use the sled/sledge to hit the propeller cone between the studs to loosen it. Be careful not to hit and damage the threaded studs.
- Use a wire brush to clean the spacer clamp grooves on the caliper frame.
- Remove the slider pins. Use brake pad cleaner to remove old grease/debris on pins and bores. Clean the parts and grease the new brake calipers.
- Slide the pins back into the drilled hole. Make sure that the protective rubber gaskets are not damaged and are firmly attached to the pins.
- Install the new spacer clamps (hardware) on the new spacer. You can clean and reuse your old gasket clips if they didn’t come with your replacement spacer set.
- Clean the wheel hub with a wire brush. Clean the friction surface of the new rotor using a brake pad cleaner.
- Insert the new rotor into the hub, then reinstall the caliper holder. Preload both 21mm to 130 ft-lb (or 175 Nm) hex bolts with a torque wrench.
- Use the caliper spreader to push back the piston of the caliper. You can use a simple C-clamp, but be careful not to damage the protective rubber boot.
- Apply brake caliper grease on the brake pad calipers (hardware), then install the pads. Be careful not to get grease on the rotor/cushion friction surface.
- Reinstall the caliper. Preload both 13mm to 31 ft-lb (or 42 Nm) hex bolts with a torque wrench. Use pliers to keep the sliding caliper from rotating.
- Reinstall the wheel and tighten the nuts.
- Lower the vehicle and preload the nut in a cross shape to 130 ft-lb (or 175 Nm) with a torque wrench.
