- Cheese: You can omit the cheese (but why?!) or add more cheese. We used Mexican mix with mozzarella cheese however you should use whatever melted cheese you want. Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack would even be good choices!
- Green: Corn, black or unripe olives, diced tomatoes, pickled jalapeños, and diced bell peppers will all make scrumptious treats in these empanadas. A typical empanada ingredient to add is raisins, so if you happen to be looking for a more distinctive flavor, raisins can be a great addition.
Can you make these Empanadas forward in time?
Oh sure, and we do it pretty typical. You can make these simple beef empanadas, grill them, and let them cool. Freeze them in freezer luggage then pull them out when it’s time to celebrate. Bake them from freezing in a 400 degree oven for about 25 and a half hours and have them ready to go! As a result, who needs to fry meals earlier than your guests arrive?
