We had a pretty peaceful weekend. It was busy and filled with loads of baked goods, however not too thrilling. And, usually these are my favorite weekends. The hub and I love some fun time together. After the climate has gone into the 70s these days, it is within the 20s yesterday morning. As an alternative to fighting the cold (we are blind people, I know), I made us a nice hot breakfast then we went to see the church. outside. It’s about how God takes advantage of the difficult times in our lives to help us learn, grow, and depend more on Him. It is a message that the hub and I cannot link to the sub. We have explored and developed a lot over the years. We’ve had our share of adverse issues, along with our fertility struggles, and we all know God is with us in all of it. I love using the flavor of cannoli in desserts. On this ice box cake, the flavor is mild and candied – not too candied, however. In fact, it’s less candied than the muffin, which is smart since there’s no sweetened condensed milk in this recipe.The graham crackers act like the shell of a cannoli and the filling is the cannoli filling. It’s easy, but it’s awesome. A good way to eat cannoli with all the work.
