Unraveling the Mystery of the Necromancer

The Necromancer class launches TOMORROW. Somehow people are still confused about the EARNED & AC versions of the class so I’ll try and break it down.There will be 2 paths to get there that lead to a non-member Necromancer class. When you reach the top of the Tower of Necromancy in DoomWood, the owner of the tower will give you the class if you can provide 2 items. The first is the Necropolis University Extended Necromonicon version that can ONLY be found for Rank 10 DOOMWOOD REPUTATION from the DoomWood Representative Store in LightGuard Keep. The second item, Creature Shard, will be 5% less than Creature Creation in Chopping Maul. In a nutshell, to earn the WINNING version you need to get Doomwood Rep Rank 10, Farm the Creature Creation and pass all the tests and quizzes on your way to the top of the tower.PATH 2, The AC Path : You can BUY a Necromancer for 2000 AC from Zorbak in his hut in the Chopping Maul map. You’ll have to complete all the doomwood quests needed to enter Zorbak’s hut but hopefully you’ve made it. The AC version will also be able to be purchased through Quibble until he leaves town, after which you will have to buy it from Zorbak if you want that version. It will NOT be rare for Quibble to leave. Aside from the price (and the fact that you can store the AC version for free since it’s an AC item), there is NO DIFFERENCE between these two versions of the class. They have the same looks, they have the same skills.

Necromantic Skill Set

Now let me tell you what to expect from Necromancer.You need to understand Necromancer to really master it. Necromancer is all about stealing life energy from the living and even sacrificing their own life energy to become stronger. If you are not wise, you can kill yourself instantly with this class. Use your own life force to power your pet and steal enemy life force to keep you alive. It needs you to pay attention and use your brain. Take a look at your HP bar, find the happy place between sacrifice and power… then DESTROY! AUTO ATTACK2 Seconds Cooldown: A basic attack, taught to all adventurers.SUMMON MINIONRead more: Project zomboid how to keep dead characters 45 mana, 16 seconds cooldown. Summon an undead minion towards you or send it into a frenzy, doubling all damage at the cost of health. This is an essential skill to understand. , if you don’t summon your minion, your attacks will have no effect on your topqa.info if it’s the first skill you cast, unless the Skeletal Minion is already standing right in front of you. SECOND, if you have another pet equipped, Do not capture it. Your Minion cannot be summoned if you have equipped a pet. You watch when your pet is speeding dealing a little more DAMAGE DAMAGE for the duration of the effect, but you also see some of your life energy disappear.WEAKNESS15 Mana, 5 seconds cooldown. Kills the target, reduces damage while stealing some of its life, and heals you. You’ll be using this skill A LOT. As good as it is, between the pet’s Frenzy skill and the Infection skill, you’ll have to give up a lot of your life. You can get away without using it, but if you learn to use it wisely, it will open up a world of limitless power for you. Class rank opens up the possibility to deal more damage and do it faster than ever.COMMAND UNDEAD20 Mana, 6s cooldown, commands your pet to attack for increased damage. This is your mini-nuke. It’s a very handy power to unlock as it powers up your pet for a powerful hit against your enemies that only costs energy without eating any of your life. Use in conjunction with Summon Frenzy skill and apply liberally on enemies for best results. It’s not like you’re running out of mana, is it? SO you have it. In short, the Necromancer. If I were you, I would use Wizard improvements because Necro derives its power mainly from INT and a little word WIS like Magi do. right now the Skeletal Mintion pet you summon to stand in front of you, shield you and attack your enemies is the ONLY Battle Pet in AQW. We plan to add a few more in the coming weeks, they will be REAL pets (not temporary pets) and nearly all are planned as members only.

In addition to the Class Necromancer found at the top of the Tower of Necromancy and the AC version in Zorbak’s Hut, we also spent the week researching the monstrously constructed Tower of Necromancy. The original plan for the tower was laid out on paper by Artix and it went from pretty simple to almost impossible in just 10 floors! If you can make it to the top, not only will you get a bonus cutscene when you meet the Master of the Tower, but you’ll ALSO get access to the MEMBER’s ONLY Necromancer Shop, where you’ll find an inventory Weapons of necromancy and some replacement armor for the slayer.Quibble is also getting an upgrade this week, greatly increasing the number of items he offers. This round will feature more Pali themes and fewer skulls but with a few puzzling additions, all provided by artist AE Mennace.

AE and PariahCon 2011!

Some members of Artix Entertainment STAFF including Artix, Nythera, Jemini, Korin, me and several others are heading to Imperial Swan Hotel in Lakeland, FL on Friday, June 10 for PariahCon 2011! This is Lakeland’s first anime/game/collectibles convention. Because this is the first year for this game, we hope it’s just a minor flaw but minor cons are AWESOME to meet lots of new people! Our Artix Entertainment Conference will be held on Friday, June 10 at 4:00 p.m. EST in the Main Event Room on Level 7.
