Binding Yoyo Trick In this video, I will teach you how to tie a yoyo. Binding is the trick you use when playing with an unresponsive yoyo to get the yoyo working again. In this video, I show you a few different ways to bind just to get you started. In the opposite direction. The reason for this is that if the yoyo is on the rope in the opposite direction it also means that it is rotating in the opposite direction which will help you to perform the binding easier. If you are doing the front mount, this is usually how the yoyo lands on the rope, to do your binding you would flip it around and get it on the rope in the opposite direction. Same thing with your side mount or your trap, you will do your binding here and that will make it easier for you to get the yoyo back. do is clamp the rope with your opposite hand. The string will be wound on your finger here; you can use your thumb, I usually use my first finger here, and once it’s pinched you’ll want to raise your yoyo hand a little bit. You can see that I started with my yoyo hand close to the yoyo. Just lift it up a little, and soon after you do, you’ll start to feel the rope wrap around the yoyo’s shaft. As soon as you start to feel that you are about to unclip it, remove your hand and then the yoyo will immediately roll back. So again, you just pinch, you go up a little bit, as soon as you start to feel it, you pull your hand out and that’s going to make the lanyard come into play. Same thing on your car. You’re going to go over here, pinching, lifting, pulling your hand out and that’s going to get it working again. pinch the rope, what they do is they cross the rope like this. Crossing can have the same effect. You will want to do the same thing. You’ll want to lift your yoyo hand and let it drop a little. As soon as you start to feel a stretch inside the yoyo you will want to pull out your opposite hand and that will bring the yoyo back. A lot of people assume the exclusive binding they do and it can work pretty well. The third kind of binding you can do, again a lot of people do this but I don’t really recommend doing so and I’ll explain why, but basically what they do is they wrap rope around the shaft like this and while winding it, they throw the yoyo up. So the binding looks like that. The reason I don’t particularly recommend this combination is that when you do this, the string, when it first starts to link around the yoyo, is actually winding in the opposite direction while the rest of the string is. scroll in the right direction. When you throw it out, you will always have a little rope that will come out of the yoyo and it will mess up your throw a bit. You might not really notice, maybe you don’t really care, and the cool thing about the binding is that you don’t have to flip it up, you can get in right from your regular mount, which is great. Tuning a guitar without a tuner So those are just a few different techniques. Practice them, work with them, see which one you like. Your binding to roll yoyo up if you are starting from a dead yoyo. If you’re going to do your usual winding trick like this, then to do the binding you’ll want to mount it just like you did the front mount. If you want the yoyo to rotate like that, it will rotate in the opposite direction, so you’ll want to mount the yoyo in the opposite direction, or the direction you normally would with respect to the side stand. Another technique you can use that I would love to use is that, instead of just spinning the yoyo and catching it to the rope here, you can do it all in one motion. So you can just spin the yoyo and while it’s in the air I just catch it on the rails and then you can do your binding and get it back right away. Again it looks like this.
