Step #1 – Your Supplies

Supplies You’ll Need to Wrap Your Gift Basket To make a good gift basket, you’ll need some basic supplies: a gift box with a removable lid, a transparent cello basket bag (instead of wrapping the cello on a roll) , newsprint packing, some tinsel, a bow tie, and some shredded colored baskets.

Step #2-Your Container

Use these durable and reusable boxes as your gift basket containers The container you choose for your gift basket is important. For this gift basket, instead of using a boring wicker basket (like a regular gift basket!), we decided to use one of the 7″ x7″ x4″ 2-piece gift boxes. The combination of 2 or more colors can confuse the eyes and distract the products in the gift basket.

Step #5 Your Product

Be sure to consider the placement of products in your gift basket When placing your products in a gift basket, keep a few things in mind:

• How will your shopping cart be viewed? Only from the front or all the way around? In our sample gift basket, we decided to make the basket visible only from the front, that’s why we put the lid on the back of the box.
