How To Make Car Freshies
Have you tried ours yet? Fragrant cereals but? These little beads are fun and so much fun to play with and melt into fun shapes! You can put the granules loosely in a bag, but the most common way to use them is to melt them into shape using a metal cookie cutter. This little tutorial will walk you through the steps of smelting Scent Grains, so you can start making your own Scent Grains at home or for your business! First, gather all the necessary ingredients. For this tutorial, I’m not showing you how to add flavor and color because we’re just focusing on how to melt or bake them. For instructions on how to create the aroma and color of grains, check out our guide titled “How to make fragrance beads“Can be found in Candle making university.Read: How to make a car smoothie Necessary ingredients:
- Fragrant & Colourful Fragrance seeds
- Metal baking sheet (any size will do)
- Parchment (DO NOT USE WAX PAPER)
- Metal cookie cutters
- Large Screw or Nail (optional)
- Mitt Oven & Oven(s)
- Heavy yarn, jute or yarn
Now that we have everything we need, let’s get started! Step 1 – Preheat your oven. This process can take some trial and error as every oven is different. For my oven I was able to preheat it to 350°F but if your oven is hot you may want to preheat it only to 325°F. It is important to test a small batch first to be sure. that your oven will be at the right temperature to melt the granules.Step 2 – Prepare Your Baking Sheet The size of your baking sheet really depends on the number of shapes you’re baking as well as the size of your oven. Remember that the size of your cookie cutters and the number of shapes you’re baking can affect how long they take to bake. You will want to cover some parchment paper on the bottom of the baking tray. This will make it easier for the seeds to come out of the bottom of the pan. DO NOT USE WAX PAPER! If you use waxed paper, the beads will stick to the paper and you’ll be almost impossible to remove without the tiny particles sticking to the bottom of the fragrant seeds.Step 3 – Lay out your cookie cutters You’ll want to try to place your cookie cutters evenly on the baking sheet. Again, this will help the granules smell better as they bake and melt more evenly. Usually you want to try to keep all shapes the same size for each batch, which is where most of my shapes are. The arrow shape is a bit smaller, but I don’t seem to have a problem getting it to dissolve evenly.Step 4 – Using Screws If you want to thread some kind of wire through your shapes, we recommend using medium to large screws or nails to make holes for the wire. You can see that the two screws I’m using here are medium sized and about 1 inch long. (See next step for location).Step 5 – Pour the seeds into the cookie cutter Read more: how to charge a lipo battery for the first time This step can be a little tricky, especially if you have a cookie cutter with lots of details. As you can see, the crown and butterfly here have some little nooks and crannies that need a little help getting the beads to spread out. I just used my fingers to make sure they were tucked inside the small and even crevices.Step 6 – Bake the Nuts Like the oven temperature, you’ll also have to check your baking time to get the toast just right. Our Aroma bead maker recommends melting them in about 6-10 minutes depending on size, number of shapes, oven, temperature, etc. For my beads, I put them in the oven in 7 minutes and they turned out perfect!Step 7 – Take the nuts out of the oven and let the nuts grow. To see if your nuts are ready to take out of the oven, PLEASE tap the tops of the nuts with a spoon, popsicle stick, skewer, or whatever. whatever you want to see if they’re all glued together. If they seem to stick together, continue to remove the nuts from the oven and let cool. IMPORTANT: You don’t want the particles to melt into a liquid! You’re trying to melt the bottom of the beads together a bit but keep the “loose” look at the top. If you bake these seeds for too long, they may start to lose some of their scent.Step 8 – Open the cookie cutters Once your nuts have cooled, you can start taking them out of the cookie cutters. The beads will stick to the edges of the cookie cutters a bit, so it needs to be wiggled and pulled gently for them to pop out. You can also remove any screws or nails used at this point simply by pushing the “pointed” end down on the countertop or cookie sheet until it slides out.Read more: How many emails to send surveys Step 9 – Thread the wire through the nail hole or around the bead section This next step is optional but most effective if you want to hang the Scent Beads in your car. Simply thread the wire through the hole made by a nail or screw, or you can tie some wire around a part of the shape to hang it. Make sure you make a loop large enough to fit around your rearview mirror or leave the knot loose so you can tie it. Here are a few different examples: Thread the wire through the hole.Tie the string around the bead.Step 10 – Hook Up and Enjoy! Once you’ve strung your strings in, you’re ready to hang your fragrance beads in your car, office, motel room or anywhere you want! Are you ready to start your own air freshener?
