INSTALLING POOL COVER

1. Remove all ladders and pool handrails 2. Measure the pool wall and pool cover. This will determine the cover overlap. Take the difference in width and length and divide by two. The overlap can vary from 10 to 15 inches. 3. Place the cover over the pool carefully so you don’t jerk or damage the pool cover. The warning label must be facing up. Adjust the overlap determined in step 2. Use something on the straps to hold the lid in place (a bucket of water or a sandbag). 4. Mark anchor points at the center of each wall. They are located 18 inches from the edge of the pool cover. Install the anchors. 5. Attach the strap to the spring, then place the spring in the anchor. 6. Continue with the anchor points for the rest of the pool cover. With all anchors and springs installed, re-check all Anchors and straps to make sure they are securely held and adjusted to equal tension.Instructions for installing a safe roof for swimming pools

    MAINTAIN ANCHORS

For smooth operation of anchors, it is a good practice that they are flushed every spring and fall to remove dirt. Brass gaskets can also be lightly sprayed with a silicone or Teflon lubricant to ensure smooth operation. Do not use any oil or grease!

    PRESERVE

When the lid is removed, it should be cleared of debris, allowed to dry, folded, and placed in its storage bag. Store the cap in a dry place, away from rodents.

    CARE OF YOUR COVER

  • Ensure that the pool water level is never allowed to drop below 18” above the main deck water level. Leaving the water level low will result in coating and/or spring damage during snow accumulation. This type of damage is not covered by the warranty.
  • Do not walk on the cover unless there is an emergency. It should not be jumped up like a trampoline. Walking or jumping on the cover may result in damage not covered by the warranty.
  • Proper chemical treatment is required when closing the pool door in winter. Chemical levels should be checked in the spring, adjusted as needed.
  • Bands for abrasion protection are sewn into the case to protect against normal wear.
  • When necessary, installers can add protective padding to sharp corners or very rough areas of the pool.
  • The lid must be stored in the storage bag when not installed. Any leaves and debris should be cleaned from the pods before storing.
  • Covers must be stored in a rodent-free area.
  • Never swim in a pool with the lid on when it is partially installed.
  • Check the cap periodically to make sure it stays firmly on the pool. Adjust the belt to achieve the proper tension.
  • Do not pull the cover on the deck or on the springs of the lid. Tears caused by mishandling will not be covered by the warranty.
