Disconnect the Verizon Galaxy S3 from the PC if it is connected.

Double-click the topqa.info file to open Odin.

Boot your Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 into Download Mode:

First, power off your phone. Wait 6-7 seconds after the screen turns off.

Press and hold these 3 buttons together until you see Warning! screen: Volume Down + Power + Home screen.

Press Volume Up now to proceed to Download Mode.

Connect your Galaxy S3 to your PC. Odin window will show Added !! message in the bottom left box. Odin’s screen should look like this: If you don’t get Added! , here are some troubleshooting tips:

Load the firmware file (unzipped in Step 1) into Odin following the instructions below:

• Click PDA on Odin and select the file topqa.info5 (from step 1). Your Odin window should look like the screenshot below:

Now in the Options section of Odin, make sure that the Re-Partition box is unchecked. (The Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time boxes remain checked, while all other boxes remain unchecked.)

Double check the above two steps. (Step 6 and Step 7)

Click the Start button to start flashing and wait until you see a PASS! in the top left box of Odin.

When you get the PASS! notification, your device will automatically reboot. You can then disconnect your phone from your PC.

If you see FAIL instead of PASS in the top left box of Odin, that’s a problem. Try this now: disconnect your Verizon Galaxy S3 from your PC, close Odin, remove the phone’s battery and put it back inside after 3-4 seconds, open Odin and then repeat from Step 2 of this guide again. If device is Stuck when establishing connection or on any other procedure try this: disconnect your Verizon Galaxy S3 from PC, close Odin, remove battery of phone and put it back inside after 3-4 seconds, open Odin and then repeat from Step 2 of this tutorial again.NOTE: It may happen that your phone won’t automatically boot into recovery and root your phone. In that case, follow the procedure above except in Step 7, Auto-restart option is unchecked and then the instructions below:

• Remove the battery and reinsert it.
• Boot your Verizon Galaxy S3 into Recovery Mode: Press and hold these 3 buttons together: Volume Up + Power + Home screen.
• This will now start the rooting process and will automatically reboot the phone when the process is complete.
