I Tried It… The Ped Egg

Video How to use ped egg There’s nothing I love more than a relaxing pedicure. However, as a college student I rarely have the time or money for those luxuries, so I had to do with Maybelline 60 Seconds Quick Dry Nail Polish and loofah. That’s why I’m so excited that this Christmas, my mom graciously bought me a Ped Egg to add to my pedicure arsenal.

Its makers have called it “The Ultimate Foot File” and “the ultimate way to beautiful and smooth feet”. I’m sure you’ve probably seen the TV commercials many times, but in case you haven’t, here it is: Read: how to use a ped egg Recently, I tried a Ped Egg and here’s what happened :

My experience:

So that’s why I was excited to try Ped Egg. I realized that any improvement would be worth the time and effort! The Ped Egg is as soft as they say – you won’t get a cut when you run your finger over it. But be careful: you need to use the Ped Egg when your feet are dry – otherwise, you’ll feel like your feet are cut off. I used the Ped Egg for about 5-10 minutes per foot. If you do this while watching TV, it will probably pass quickly, but I don’t – and get pretty bored after the first few minutes, especially since it takes those full 8-10 minutes to watch any any results. On the plus side, it’s really uncluttered, which I like.

My result:

Ped Egg My feet look much better after using Ped Egg – my calluses are almost gone. My legs don’t look as good as they did after a pedicure, but I have seen a definite improvement. However, I was terrified to try Ped Egg on my blisters, so I can’t really explain how well it would work for them. Cleaning is not more pleasant. I really don’t like throwing away dead skin – it doesn’t make a mess, but the skin looks like loose powder. Maybe it’s my hangover, but I think the dead skin is really, really disgusting.

However, I won’t be using Ped Egg anymore. Overall, I think the process is too time-consuming: if you don’t rub each foot vigorously for 5 minutes, you won’t see any improvement. I don’t know about you, but I’m not going through all that effort when my feet will be dirty again in two days. Also, the exfoliating powder is also a hit in my eyes, but many of you may not feel the same way.For those of you who really want pristine feet and don’t mind taking the time to get them- buy this ASAP. Ped Egg is a great choice for that pedicure time. At $10, it’s not a bad investment, and it’s a pretty useful product. As for As Seen On TV products, this is definitely one of the better ones – if you want to spend your time using it.
