Below, Carrasco opens up about Flower’s revelation, her dazed state, and her personal connection to the hippie’s true identity.What was your preliminary reaction when researching the origin story of the Flower?Sheila Carrasco: Yes, I was stunned and really excited about it. At first, I was surprised that we were entering a part of Flower’s previous life that did not contain her death. For some reason, I was anticipating [to do] the result of seeing a bear or something for the set of Flowers. So it’s great to see that there’s so much potential in all of those characters. It wasn’t their death that nearly died, but their exact lives and the flaws they made. Anytime you’re into a personality that’s truly central and in fact upbeat, it’s a great place to be. I believe it’s really exciting to find that out and find out that she’s a very diverse person and has her own personality, yet she’s not brilliant and he or she is flawed. I believe everyone can relate to that.Flowers usually come out in case of sanity. Is she constantly stumbling on drugs in her time or is she really living in her personal world? I believe it’s a little bit of each. From the pilot episode, we learn that she’s always in the period where she’s supposed to be in a flashback of her acid-smashing journey. So in general you don’t know if she came to it because of that, or if she came to it because of her personality. The fun part about being in Flower is the physical exploration of being in the scene and understanding what’s going on, but beyond seeing these amazing colors and having visible moments of fun [are like] her little secret.Will Hoa being smarter than the opposite ghosts give her credit? Looks like Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) and Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) underestimated her after they tried to surreptitiously send Sam’s questions. Thanks for asking that question. I believe she can be very intuitive, she is an effective character choice, she sees when issues are going in the group scenes, however she has her own point of view. about it and not always consider it because maybe it doesn’t matter to her. At this particular moment, she is certainly aware that no one is really asking her many questions about their own mental health. [because] in all probability, she will make them spin [with her answers]It’s an understatement, and perhaps that’s where I relate to the character a bit too much, however I really do feel like Flower is an emotionless person. And I believe she’ll be able to really feel people’s emotions and see what they’re going for often sooner than she actually hears what they’re saying, and beyond that I believe that. where she connects with Sam a bit too much. She really is cared for and linked in that way.Would you say Flower’s low-level hippie rage is definitely one of her best traits? She was upset but not at all distressed by Sam’s promotion of her story in the local press. I also believe so. I believe that by the time she came here with the commune and the cult, she is in this house with all those ghosts, and I believe she will definitely be emotionally hurt. However, I don’t think she’s the one to basically raise a finger and say, “Why are you doing this? This is your fault.” She was simply like, “Wow, you made it. I’ve been so grateful to our writers and hosts for discovering that side of her and giving me something that really means a lot to Flower. For a personality that’s known for not being lucid often and often keeping to himself, this involves Ira, the love of her life, and discovering what happened to him and finding out. that she means so much to him as he means to her, so touching. And for me as an actor and an artist, I want to know that in the long run, I leave a positive impression. So I actually linked to that and the second place she would get that info from Sam.Since Pete (Richie Moriarty) received the ability to reunite with his family through SAm, do you think there’s a chance she can help Flower reunite with Ira?Oh, I hope so! I really want that to happen and I hope he comes out like Jerry Garcia [Laughs]. I hope Sam can do it for her.We were also taught that Flower’s identity was in fact Susan Montero. Do you think Susan is an individual who is identical to Hoa or is there a separation? Certainly, I believe she is a unique individual. That’s one thing that we mentioned very early to the writer about who Hoa is even earlier than the wife and the cult. Could she come from a non-secular family or an unchanging surroundings where then one day she eats inappropriate marzipan at a party and takes 180? Or perhaps she was simply commuting away from home and locating her chosen household. That remains to be decided. However, I assume that after she received her identity Hoa then Daisy from Ira, I believe she fully embraced this social lifestyle. [picked] Susan’s identity to her that was great, however then they asked me to send them a shortlist of the last names I wanted to join and Montero was abuela’s final identity. I, and I really need to describe all the characteristics of the person I am ‘ m [as a] half Chilean American and I really needed that Hoa could be Latina too. I didn’t know which final identity they chose until I fiddled with the script. It was emotional for that, simply as an actor capable of determining my ultimate identity as a household.
