In August 2015, I received an email in my inbox that made my ears stand up. But this email, even though it was a request from a stranger, and it was a bit wordy, caught my attention. on my podcast, it took a year and a half for the recording to go live, which is a real shame. After 15 years as a lawyer I bought a floral dress to change my look and I ended up running into my own home and for a few years I was doing another job for FREE once a month just to see What other people’s lives are like. alike. I “accidentally” founded the Dream Box Project – we make boxes filled with school supplies, toiletries, and toys for children living in long-term care. Each box is decorated by volunteers to pack and contain a message of hope for children. Last year we packed 11,000 Dream Boxes and they are changing the lives of the volunteers who create them and the children who receive them.

I have been doing a series of talks called “I’m fine the way I am…even if I’m not” – Heal from your dreams. Although each of us will have to face some loss (illness, betrayal, economic hardship, divorce, death) that signals the loss of the dream we hold dear, but most of us are faced with a tragic loss that is unprepared. people around us. The art of grieving is the greatest gift I have given to myself and the people I love.

What happens when your old answer to the question “What do you do?” no longer suitable? If you think you are what you do, and suddenly you don’t do it anymore, you don’t exist? Finding new and innovative ways to answer that question is my own work and that of my client. Now, if you ask me “What do you do?” I’ll answer you “I’m a Sparkle Fairy” and if that makes you laugh, I just do my job!
