Country singer/songwriter Lauren Duski gained national attention in early 2017 as a season 12 finalist of NBC’s The Voice talent show. She scored that year’s hit Hot Country Songs with “Deja Vu” before releasing her 2019 EP Midwestern Girl. Duski has continued to mature, releasing songs like “The Broken Kind” in 2020 and “I Would for You” in 2021. Born in 1991, the Gaylord, Michigan native began performing with a local country band in high school, touring around the northern part of the state, and appearing as the opening act for Randy Travis, Lonestar , Bill Anderson, and other famous artists. While in college at the University of Michigan, Duski began to focus more on songwriting, and after graduating with a degree in biopsychology, she decided to trade off her music career by moving to Nashville. After a successful audition, she landed a spot on The Voice in 2017, she had a hugely successful run on the show, eventually finishing as runner-up. In May of that year, The Complete Season 12 Collection was released, which compiled Duski’s performances on the show including the hit single “Deja Vu”.
