Is Jake Owen The Subject Of Taylor Swift’s ‘Sparks Fly’?

The speculation continues… Since the release of Taylor Swift’s Speak Now, fans have spent time trying to decipher which of the album’s 14 songs are written about. While Swift won’t reveal exactly who each song is about, many fans believe that “Dear John” was written about John Mayer, “Back To December” was written about Taylor Lautner, and quite clearly “Innocent” ” was written about the Kanye West incident. Currently, fans are speculating that “Sparks Fly,” the second track on Speak Now, is written about Jake Owen. . Some Taylor fans did some digging and found a MySpace blog that Taylor reposted in October 2006. Check it out below: Tuesday, October 31, 2006 Happy Halloween Happy Halloween! I’m sitting at the airport in Portland, Oregon.. There’s going to be a pink eye flight (Oh yeah, I just said pink eye. I mean, all night. This must be interesting…) to Toronto, Canada to work on another weekend of Rascal Flatts shows. Tonight is wonderful. It was a gig in Portland at a bar called Duke’s, I opened Jake topqa.info a little story, I’ve been repeating his album for the past few months.. It’s a great album and I really can’t stop listening to it. I memorized every line, and if you see me on the plane.. Chances are, I’m listening to some song from that album, at a volume that will probably cause permanent hearing damage for a while. someday. ANYWAY. I have to go check his sound and see him. Turns out he was great and bought my album on iTunes. And since I had to leave after one of his songs, he played my favorite song “8 Second Ride” first. That’s another reason why he’s great. And just to let everyone know, YES, I dressed up for Halloween. That’s right, I was on stage in an angel costume with giant wings (that actually contradicts my guitar playing). And I convinced my guitarists Todd and Kevin to wear those little headbands with those devil ears attached. Haha. Oh, it’s great. It’s great to play with the crowd and meet some people who know the words of EVERY SONG! I love the album that’s been released, and I love all of you listening to it. You guys are amazing, and I really appreciate all of your comments. I love you all so much. Thanks for everything According to an unnamed Taylor fan, the song was written on November 2, 2006 (this is NOT confirmed), shortly after Taylor opened up for Jake in Portland. she performed it. When the song was performed live for the first time in 2007 in California, the lyrics were “The first time you said my name, baby, and I fell in love for a drum bar, ”But the lyrics of the song that appeared on the album have changed.
