Is ‘Bloom Where You’re Planted’ Biblical And What Does It Mean For Relationships?

We live in the skin that binds us together but it’s so easy to scrape it off. It is easy to bruise, burn or leave a scar. But this is the beauty of living in a world where God takes on our bodies, asks us to do the best we can and blooms where we have planted. However, to be honest, learning to bloom where you have planted is very difficult. It feels like I’ve been buried 6 meters deep in the dark and I’m trying to figure out how to get to the surface. For two years, our lives were buried deep in the hard mud. When we talked about having another child, I was told I had cancer. Then I had to have a hysterectomy. A few months later, I had a brain infection. Before I was released, I had to learn to walk and talk. In the midst of my difficulties, my husband was facing heart failure, he had to have different heart transplants. There were also two different times when he had to resuscitate. These life-or-death moments bring me to my knees, and I wonder what God is doing. At one point, a doctor helped me get off the floor of the emergency room and told me it was time to learn how to bloom where I had grown. You don’t know my life. You don’t know what we’ve been through. How can you tell this to me? This lovely colloquial message is to encourage people to see the better side and reach for it while you’re going through tough times. I’m sure someone has said this to you at some point. It doesn’t feel good, but they make sense. But is it even the Bible? Is it even useful?

What Does It Mean To Bloom Where You Grow?

Life is hard. There are many unexpected moments and circumstances that can bring us to our knees and take our breath away. But, even on our knees, we can still bloom where we plant. But what does that mean in these times? According to God’s Word, we can bear fruit. John 15:1-3; 5 tells us an eloquent story about the vine and the vine. Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every unfruitful branch in me, while every branch that bears fruit, he prunes to make it bear more fruit… I am the vine; you are the affiliate. If you are in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; There’s nothing you can do except me. “When we surrender our lives to Christ, He prunes us. He removes anything that prevents us from living fully in Him. The Bible tells us a story when Peter, also known as Simon, was screened. “And the Lord said,” “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has begged you to let him sift you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith might not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren’” Luke 22:31-32. God will allow us to go through hard times and hardships to be screened. Because once we pass the screening, the only thing left will be the goodness of God in every situation. He allows us to ‘grow’ through it to be resilient. We will go through difficult times. We will feel as if our lives are buried in darkness. God allows this so that we may bloom where we are planted. We cannot choose the cards that life has dealt us, but we can learn to play them. In the hands of God, every circumstance prepares us for the next season of life. Perhaps the best definition of this phrase is: To bloom where we are planted means to grow, to develop, and to be pruned to grow in tough dirt to reflect the goodness of Christ!

How to bloom where you plant

One of my favorite quotes about learning to bloom in tough times is by Maya Angelou, “My mission in life is not just to survive, but to thrive; and do so with some passion, a little compassion, a little humor, and some style. If we want to grow, then we need to know who is trying to keep us from growing. In John 10:10, Jesus tells us of our enemies, “The thief comes. only to steal, kill, and destroy. I come that they may have life and abundance.” The enemy has a program that includes destroying us in every way and every way possible. This includes difficult moments in life where we question God’s goodness. Jesus tells us He is the opposite of that. We have infinite security, forgiveness, love, and guidance in Christ. This means that we put our best into the refining process, we take on the challenge, and we stay focused on Jesus.Focus on the refining processEach of us has moments where it feels like we’re going through fiery times in our lives. The Bible refers to the refining process many times in relation to how God develops us and changes us to be more like Him. But He is there to guide, prune, water, repair, encourage, and strengthen us to blossom in the process. He continues to increase the heat and skim the impurities that rise to the surface. But the beautiful part, he never let the thousand gold alone. Jesus is the same way — no matter how much the fire burns, He is with us through the process. Our job is to participate in this process, knowing we will thrive on the other side. 1 Peter 1:6-7, says: “In this you rejoiced, although for a short time you may have endured grief in all trials. These have come so that the proven sincerity of your faith – worth more than gold, which is destroyed though tempered by fire – can lead to praise, glory and honor. when Jesus Christ was revealed. ”Embrace the challengeIn the heat of the moment, bloom, do not wilt! They say that pressure creates beautiful things. Diamonds withstand the incredible pressures of forming. Pearls are created when a clam is stimulated by a small grain of sand. A caterpillar turns into a butterfly after slowly escaping its cocoon. Forests regrow and bloom profusely after forest fires. Change, beauty, and flourishing go hand in hand with pressure, hard times, and fire. It’s uncomfortable, but we can get on our knees and accept the challenges that lie before us. When life seems fraught with pain, pressure, and testing, we need to remember what Paul told Timothy about “enduring hardship like a good soldier of Jesus Christ. ” (2 Timothy 2:3).Keep an eye on JesusIt’s easy to feel overwhelmed in the midst of life’s storms, but you’re not alone. When the disciples fell asleep and awoke to a great storm, they became afraid. Matthew 4:35-41 illustrates this story, and when Jesus stood up, He calmly commanded the winds and waves to calm. Without dismissing the storm, He overcame it. Then, in Matthew 14, Peter learns to walk on water. Not because of his faith, but because he kept an eye on Jesus. Only when Peter kept his focus on Christ did he receive God’s intervention when he needed it. Both of these stories remind us to always keep our eyes on Jesus to bloom through the storms of life! a journey with handpicked scriptures that includes our constant following of Christ. Even though you may not see it right now, like a seed planted deep in the ground, your roots will grow deep in Him and nothing can stop you from blooming and growing again!
