Two vegetarian restaurants in Vietnam break into global Tripadvisor list

Hum Vegetarian on Vo Van Tan Street, District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City ranked 10th while Vegan Zone on Nguyen Duy Hieu Street in Hoi An Ancient Town secured 20th place on Travelers’ Choice’s annual Best of the Best list. for vegetarian restaurants.

Tripadvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine winners, taking into account the quality, quantity and recentness of reviews and opinions submitted by its readers over a 12-month period .

Hum Vegetarian has three stores at 32 Vo Van Tan, 2 Thi Sach and 32 D10 street.

Its highlights include wooden and eco-friendly furniture.

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and is capable of serving 100 customers at a time.

Lotus leaf brown rice, pandan leaf fried rice and deep fried square spring rolls are typical dishes at Hum, with prices ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 VND (4.37-13.12 USD) a dish.

“Great food and atmosphere. A must visit,” wrote one Tripadvisor reader.

About a kilometer from the iconic Covered Bridge in Hoi An, the Vegan Zone is decorated with dark wood and is eco-centered. Mandala is painted on the wall, along with lamps placed in woven baskets add a rustic touch.

Its signature dishes include lemongrass tofu, tempeh rolls, vegetarian curry and eggplant crepes, with prices ranging from 40,000 to 165,000 VND.
