I have witnessed this reality play out for itself over time in my marriage, in parenting (4!), career transitions, happiness challenges, relationship points and currency struggles. When my grandmother said to me when I was young, “Son, I’m good at leaving things in God’s hands, but I struggle not to get it back in my hands.” I have absolutely no regrets about giving something to God, but I do regret having it back. I am learning to believe in the arms — of the One whose handiwork proclaims His glory! Isaiah beautifully and poetically describes us as God’s chosen and accepted servants. No worries or dismay, for God’s presence is public and private. He strengthens and sustains His children with His Spirit and upholds those He loves with His completely trusting suitable hand. Jesus died and offered His soul to His Father so He could meet God’s guarantees — salvation for all who can imagine and His grace enough to call it what it is. two. Put your worries in the arms of the One whose hand calms the ocean, and He will soothe your heart. Keep your harm out of the arms of the One whose hand gave the blind to see, and He will heal your wounded heart. Put your money desires in the arms of the One who owns all things, and He provides you with peace and security. Put your private vision in the arms of the One who has the ideal point of view and who provides you with readability. The “no” solution today will become God’s higher “yes” tomorrow. Simply being an efficient relay runner placing an aluminum baton in the hands of their teammates — make a clear substitution with Christ. Commit everything to Jesus – who is in your hands – and faithfully run the race of life with the One who gave His life for you.
