If all you want to do is skiing, snowboarding, snowboarding, this is the place – right next to the lift center and the slide at the end of Peak 8. These luxury apartments (self-catering apartments) Brit-speak) is huge, and very well equipped, and has a swimming pool and bowling alley in the basement. They also do great breakfasts at the Ski Hill Grill. The only drawback is that you can’t walk from here to the bars on Main Street – but there is a free shuttle into town. All the same, sleeping girls are happier near Main Street.
Best for: single-minded skiers on a vacation budget; and families who will love the bowling alley and pool, as well as the comfortable access to the slides.

Mountain Thunder Lodge
An intervention compromise.
Mountain Thunder Lodge offers spacious apartments for half the price of One Ski Hill Place. It’s not steep – but the location is still good. To get down again, slide over a long trail that easily weaves past the second homes of Ski Hill from Peak 8. Plus, it’s just two blocks from the bars and restaurants of Main Street. walking house. Inside, it’s not quite as sleek as One Ski Hill, but almost as spacious. Welove2ski stayed here on our last vacation in Breck and loved it.
Best for: anyone who wants a little space, and going out at night on Main Street.

Doubletree by Hilton
BIG bedrooms and a great location.
This used to be the Great Split Hostel, and the rooms have just been refurbished. The ones that contain two queen-size beds in particular are huge. Okay, so the outside is pretty nice, but the prices are very reasonable and all you have to do to get to the slopes is walk through a parking lot.

Friendly, British-owned bed and breakfast near Main Street.
This laid-back bed and breakfast puts you in the heart of the historic district and offers floor plans, family rooms, and even suites. Breakfast is included in the price, and if you choose one of the family rooms (which sleeps four) you’ll have to pay around £25 a night per person to stay here. So not exactly expensive…
